  35 Here's a quick proposal for a new "notmuch search-messages" command,\r
  36 from which one can generate a list of Message IDs matching a search\r
  37 string.\r

  39 Beyond this, I'd like to add some --format options to both "search"\r
  40 and "search-messages" so that users can get out the information they\r
  41 want, (such as thread-id only from a thread search, filenames only\r
  42 from a message search, etc.).\r

  44 Any thoughts from others on this kind of thing?\r

  46 I know people have been talking about doing thing like modifying\r
  47 message files based on tags, and this seems like the beginnings of\r
  48 support for doing scripted operations like that.\r
