2 directions: 'Preheat oven to 350F. Place strawberries, rhubarb, sugar & 3 T. vanilla
3 sugar in a bowl, toss gently, and set aside.
6 To prepare the topping, mix the flour, ½ C. sugar, baking powder, and salt in
7 a bowl and stir to blend. Cut the butter into small pieces, put into the flour
8 mixture and blend with your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add
9 the milk and stir just to blend.
12 Grease a 9 x 13” glass baking pan. Place the fruit in the pan, and spoon topping
13 over the fruit. Spread it out with a spoon as best you can, but don’t worry if
14 it doesn’t reach to all the edges, as it will smooth out while baking. Sprinkle
15 the crust with the remaining 1 T. vanilla sugar. Place the pan in the oven for
16 40-50 min., until the crust is golden brown. Let cool before cutting and serving.'
