   6 The software has been designed and produced by Pierre Weis,
   7 research worker for the Institut National de Recherche en Informatique
   8 et en Automatique (INRIA) - Domaine de Voluceau - Rocquencourt - 78153
   9 Le Chesnay Cedex - France.

  11 INRIA holds all ownership rights to Htmlc.

  13 Preamble:

  15 The software is currently being developed and INRIA desires
  16 that it be used by the scientific community so as to test, evaluate
  17 and develop it.  To this end, INRIA has decided to have a prototype of
  18 the software distributed on the Internet.

  20 a- Extent of the rights granted by the INRIA to the user of the software:

  22 INRIA freely grants the right to use, modify and integrate the
  23 software in another software, provided that all derivative works are
  24 distributed under the conditions described in point b- below.

  26 b- Reproduction of the software:

  28 INRIA grants any user of the software the right to reproduce it so as
  29 to circulate it in accordance with the same purposes and conditions as
  30 those defined at point a- above.  Any copy of the software and/or relevant
  31 documentation must comprise reference to the ownership of INRIA and
  32 the present file.

  34 The user undertakes to distribute the software either as unmodified
  35 source files, identical to those originally made public by INRIA, or as
  36 executable binaries obtained by compiling the original source files.

  38 Source distribution of derivative works obtained by modifying the
  39 software or integrating it in another software is allowed, only if the
  40 distribution consists of the unmodified, original source files for the
  41 software, along with difference files (patches) to be applied by the
  42 user of the derivative work.

  44 Binary distribution of derivative works obtained by modifying the
  45 software or integrating it in another software is allowed, only if the
  46 distribution explicitely contains the following sentance

  48 ``Htmlc code is used into this software; htmlc is copyrighted INRIA
  49   and can be downloaded from http://htmlc.inria.fr/.''

  51 Typical place for this phrase being the About-dialog and the
  52 documentation of the derivative work.

  54 As regards any other type of distribution, the user undertakes to
  55 apply to obtain the express approval of INRIA.

  60 INRIA shall not be responsible in any way concerning conformity, and in
  61 particular shall not be liable should the software not comply with the
  62 requirements of the user, INRIA not being obliged to repair any
  63 possible direct or indirect damage.
