   4 The homework subdirs link back to the particular problems in the
   5 problems directory so the problems can live in a central location and
   6 be reused in future quarters.

   8 There are also non-problem directories such as `syllabus' for LaTeX
   9 source for other course documents.  With these added to Makefile's
  10 `SUBDIRS', the source they contain is compiled and installed in their
  11 `INSTALL_DIR'.  Take a look at syllabus/Makefile for the particulars,
  12 which are not too complicated.  The directory `old-source' contains
  13 the LaTeX source from previous courses, since so much of the layout is
  14 standardized and much of the text is boilerplate.  The directory
  15 `notes' contains assorted howto notes, equation sheets, and other
  16 information that I thought the students might find useful, but didn't
  17 explicitly involve problems.
