   5   In a large bowl, add first 5 ingredients.  Mix.  Add butter, rub in with fingertips
   6   until mixture resembles coarse meal.  Make a well in center.  Add sour cream and
   7   vanilla.  Using  a fork, stir sour cream mixture into dry ingredients until dough
   8   forms.  Turn onto lightly floured board.  Sprinkle apricots over dough.  Knead
   9   dough until apricots are blended, about 10 min.  Flatten dough into 8” round.  Cut
  10   into 8 wedges.

  13   Transfer wedges to baking sheet.  Brush with egg.  Sprinkle with brown sugar.  Bake
  14   until golden, about 20 min.  Serve warm or at room temperature.'
