I've installed notmuch on my OS X computer and it seems to work fine. I =\r
can search, filter, tag, etc. mail successfully. However, when notmuch =\r
is loaded, sending mail doesn't work correctly any more. The headers I =\r
see after C-x m are:\r
\r
-------------------------------------------------------------\r
\r
From: /bin/bash: notmuch: command not found </bin/bash: notmuch: command =\r
not found>\r
To:=20\r
Subject:=20\r
User-Agent: Notmuch/unknown (http://notmuchmail.org) Emacs/23.4.1 =\r
(x86_64-apple-darwin)\r
Fcc: /bin/bash: notmuch: command not found/sent\r
--text follows this line--\r
\r
\r
--------------------------------------------------------\r
\r
If I comment out the "(require 'notmuch)" line in my .emacs, the "From" =\r
line is populated correctly and the "Fcc" line is omitted, which I think =\r
is the normal behavior.\r
\r
It looks like there's a problem with the path. But notmuch seems to be =\r
on the path since all the other notmuch operations work just fine. =\r
notmuch is installed in /usr/local/bin and I have:=20\r
\r
(add-to-list 'exec-path "/usr/local/bin")\r
\r
in my .emacs file, which I think is one of the recommended ways to set =\r
the path on OS X.\r
\r
I poked around email archive and thought that setting notmuch-fcc-dirs =\r
might help. I tried setting it, and it didn't seem to have any effect, =\r
as the behavior was the same.\r
\r
I'm using notmuch compiled from source on 7/3/2012, OS X 10.6.8, and =\r
Emacs.App 23.4.1. I have a very similar setup at work, which works =\r
fine, so I'm perplexed about what is wrong here.\r
\r
\r
Thanks,\r
