Again, I'm not a programmer, so bear with me. When I open a "folder"\r
after the "hello page," I see a list of mesaages with subjects, authors,\r
dates, etc. It seems I am unable to operate on items in this list using\r
functions such as the following:\r
\r
(defun notmuch-show-tag-spam()\r
  "mark message as spam"\r
  (interactive)\r
  (notmuch-show-add-tag "spam")\r
  (notmuch-show-remove-tag "new"))\r
\r
I get a "buffer is read only" error. However, I can operate on the\r
messages themselves, when I move into a message buffer. \r
\r
Hope this clarifies.\r

Best,\r
