   9 NEMESIS is an enhancement to the EXODUSII finite element database
  10 model used to store and retrieve data for unstructured parallel finite
  11 element analyses. NEMESIS adds data structures which facilitate the
  12 partitioning of a scalar (standard serial) EXODUSII file onto parallel
  13 disk systems found on many parallel computers. Since the NEMESIS
  14 application programming interface (API) can be used to append
  15 information to an existing EXODUSII database, any existing software
  16 that reads EXODUSII files can be used on files which contain NEMESIS
  17 information. The NEMESIS information is written and read via C or C++
  18 callable functions which compromise the NEMESIS I API.
