   6   The Genetic Algorithm Utility Library is a
   7   flexible programming library designed to aid in the development of
   8   applications that use genetic, or evolutionary, algorithms. It
   9   provides data structures and functions for handling and manipulation
  10   of the data required for serial and parallel evolutionary
  11   algorithms. Additional stochastic algorithms are provided for
  12   comparison to the genetic algorithms. Much of the functionality is
  13   also available through a simple S-Lang interface.
